I am a biologist and postdoctoral researcher in Macroecology and Paleobiology with Professor Erin Saupe. I am particularly interested in exploring the mechanisms underlying the emergence, distribution, and disappearance of biodiversity. Specifically, as part of this project - which falls within the field of Conservation Biology - I will apply palaeontological knowledge about the factors driving deep-time extinctions to better understand the vulnerability of current marine invertebrate species to extinction under future climate change scenarios. This will facilitate the development of conservation assessments for these marine invertebrates, as well as their integration on the IUCN Red List.
